Lesson Learned

I left the library tonight around 10PM. As I was walking out to my car, a younger looking guy was trying to start his rape-mobile looking van (seriously, curtains and everything). I immediately start freaking out internally, since I had to walk by him in order to get to my car. To make matters worse, he turns to me as I’m walking by and asks, “Can you help me start my van?”

In my head: HELL FUCKING NO I WILL NOT HELP YOU START YOUR RAPE MOBILE OF A VAN I WATCH ENOUGH DAY TIME T.V. TO KNOW THAT’S HOW YOUNG WOMEN GET KILLED IDIOT

What I actually said: “Um, no, thanks.” *hurry to car and lock the doors once inside*

Seriously, I could have been kidnapped or raped or murdered tonight. But I’m smart and I wasn’t afraid to say, “no.” I just dun what my mama learnt me.

I’m definitely having security walk with me next time. I’m so thankful I didn’t have to learn that the hard way.
