I am currently working on my Common Application essay for the colleges I want to transfer to. So far, my options are Suffolk University, University of Massachusetts-Boston, and Boston University. I’m still going to apply to NDSU and apply for MSU scholarships for next year, but my goal is to leave North Dakota entirely. Why? Because it will scare me shitless, and that’s what I need.

My top choice is BU, but I want to apply to several other colleges just in case I don’t get in. I’m feeling pretty hopeful, since the transfer application doesn’t need to include ACT test scores (mine probably would have been too low last year). They’re mostly concerned that I have a good GPA (27 credits under my belt with a 4.0) and that my courses have been well rounded. I have taken College Algebra, Statistics, College Composition 1 & 2, College Speech, Biology, Psychology, and World Civilizations. This semester I am taking Child Development, Intro to Public Relations, a Humanities course, and Geography. I’d say those are pretty diverse!

I’m excited. I’m finally working toward moving on with my life, finding who I am, and getting out of this godforsaken town. Better late than never.

The deadline for colleges on the east coast are around April 1st. LET’S DO THIS MOTHER ******!
